This page sets out how the Gaelic Gay Association decides what to publish, how moderation works and what the Digital Clubhouse is—and is not. We are an independent, volunteer-run project.

Programme and funding status

The Digital Clubhouse is currently a concept-first public project. It has no named delivery partner, grant award, official endorsement or funded service programme. There are no ads, affiliate links, sponsored posts, paid placements or referral fees.

If that ever changes — for example, if we add an affiliate link to a specific product, or accept sponsorship from an LGBTQ+ organisation — we will disclose it here and in the relevant article, and we will never accept money to change the editorial content.

Fiction policy

We publish original short fiction set in the GAA world. Two hard rules:

Fictional characters on fictional club or county panels are fine. Fictional characters on fictional inter-county panels are also fine, so long as the county and panel are clearly invented. When a story is set inside an inter-county fiction we add a setting note above it.

News & commentary policy

We publish essays, explainers and short reported pieces. Standard editorial norms apply:

Reader experiences and anonymous bylines

Readers may submit a real experience, reflection or original fiction through our moderated form. A name and reply email are optional. “Anonymous” means that no name is shown publicly; it is not a promise of technical anonymity from the hosting provider.

Inclusion policy

The Digital Clubhouse is for LGBTQ+ adults, including players, non-players and supporters. It does not provide youth services. We do not publish material that attacks the inclusion of trans, non-binary, bi, ace or other queer people, and we do not adjudicate competitive-eligibility questions.

Advertising & sponsorship — future policy

If we ever introduce ads or sponsorship, the rules will be:

Who runs this

GGA.ie is run by a small volunteer team of LGBTQ+ Gaels and allies. We work in our spare time. We will usually reply to email within a week — slower if it's championship season.
