Scope: Camogie Association activities. Do not import an LGFA or GAA rule.
The Camogie Association's current official rules page links its Official Guide, playing rules, codes and policies. At this review, GGA.ie did not find a standalone transgender participation policy listed on that public index.
That absence is not evidence that a particular participant is eligible or ineligible. A real question should go to the Camogie Association through an official contact and receive a written answer.
A careful request
- State the code, age grade, competition and jurisdiction without unnecessary personal detail.
- Ask which current rule, policy or decision process applies.
- Ask who is authorised to receive sensitive information and how it will be protected.
- Request the document version, review route and effective date in writing.
Questions people ask
Does the absence of a standalone public policy prove eligibility or ineligibility?
No. It means a real question should be directed to the Camogie Association and answered using its current rule, policy or decision process.
Can an LGFA transgender policy be applied to Camogie?
Not automatically. Use the Camogie Association's own current official rules and written guidance.
